Guitars 4 Vets Falmouth Chapter Excells

Since its founding in the Fall of 2024, the Falmouth Chapter of the national program, Guitars4Vets has matched 12 Veteran students with 12 volunteer instructors. To date, the program has "graduated" three students and G4V has awarded each of those students their very own new guitar!

FCVC Takes 2nd Place in 2024 Holiday Parade!

Winning 1st place in the 2023 parade gave us the honor of carrying Santa Claus in this year's parade! The FCVC boasted a four-vehicle lineup featuring two pick-up trucks and the USCG TANB26 dressed as reindeer, pulling the custom-built sleigh designed after a US Navy ship, rivets, portholes, anchors and all! "We Have the Watch" featured the US NORAD Command's vigilant, night-time radar watchers scanning the skies for Santa's arrival in Falmouth's airspace, while children of active duty parents from the ANG 102nd rode with Santa, his #1 elf, and a pile of presents for Cape Cod!

Bands for Badges gifts AED to Center

The Falmouth Community Veterans Center now has a life-saving AED (Automated External Defibrillator) of its own thanks to the local non-profit Bands For Badges!! This donation, which was presented during a reception at FCVC on November 27th, is part of a larger plan to place AEDs in accessible locations around Falmouth and to educate the community about where they are, in case of emergency. Bands for Badges will be working with Falmouth Community Veterans Center and the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce to create a map of AEDs in Falmouth. "We are able to pull up a map of all water stations around town, why shouldn't we know about where the life saving devices are?" said board member K.C. Clarkson during the presentation Wednesday.
